7pm The humans had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off... The robot and his story will amaze you!  Snacks and refreshments provided. All ages.

10am-12n Enjoy hot cocoa and warm cider while you work, and warm up by the wood stove after assisting with trail and wildlife management and other projects. Ages 10+

Sun Dec 14 MPNC Holiday Bird Count!
9-11am Hike with expert bird watchers to learn how you can help monitor changes in local and nation-wide bird populations. Binoculars provided. All ages and experience levels welcome.

Sun Dec 14 Santa's Wildlife Workshop
2-4pm Build a variety of feeders for birds and squirrels while enjoying holiday music and hot cocoa. All materials provided. Ages 5+ with adult supervision.

7:30-9:30pm Help decorate the Center and make a wreath of fresh greens or holiday craft to take home. Enjoy chestnuts roasted on the fire, spiced cider, deserts of all sorts, games for the kids, and a surprise visit from you know who!  Bring a dessert to share. Not a member? Sat Dec 20 Evergreen Adventure!
1-2pm Join a Naturalist on a hike to find plants that stay "forever green." Learn how they help wildlife through the long, cold winter. Afterwards, warm-up with hot chocolate around our wood burning stove, and try some tea made from pine needles.

Sun Dec 21 Here Comes The Sun!  
1-2pm Celebrate the return of longer days while we make and burn a traditional Yule Log. Enjoy a cup of hot cider and learn where the sun goes in winter, and why a Yule Log brings it back!

Sat Jan 10  Wolves in Winter: A Moonlight Hike
7pm On a cold winter night, enjoy a roaring fire and hot cider before a hike to find evidence of the wolf's legacy. Native Americans would have been listening to them howling at the moon this time of year, yet there are none here today. Can they come back?

1-3pm T-Rex’s distant cousins are walking among us.  Find out who they are.  Then join us for a good old-fashioned dinosaur egg hunt and make your very own fossil.

7:30pm University of Maryland Professor and President of the Mid-Atlantic Turtle and Tortoise Society, Ray Bosmans will give a presentation on how our Bay's turtles survive the winter. Refreshments by Oasis Coffee. Bring a dessert to share!

2-4pm daily Marshy Point turns into a Sugar Shack this weekend as we take a hands-on hike to "tap" maple trees and collect sap for syrup-making over the wood stove. Enjoy fresh maple candy and spiced cider too!
