Contact us for more information about these and other opportunities. Current Volunteer Opportunities:Trail GuidesWe will help you become comfortable with teaching children about nature. The writing and editing staff meets six weeks before deadline to plan each issue. Individual writing and editing tasks are assigned to volunteers. You can help by manning the welcome tent or coordinating activities, or helping set-up / break-down equipment. Sharing Marshy Point with new folks is a huge part of ensuring the preservation of this invaluable resource. Meetings occur during the weekday and are set up as needed. Teens interested should call the center to set up an interview. Teen volunteers assist with animal care, weekend programs, council committee projects, and special events. After a years service the time you spend volunteering can be applied toward service learning graduation requirements! Marsh Rangers are given opportunities to attend special events like hiking and canoe trips, workboat daytrips, and other excursions. Good candidates are those interested in the outdoors or the natural sciences and also have good communication skills.
