Council Committees
The Marshy Point Nature Center Council is a non-profit headed by an Executive Board, which oversees a number of Council Committees. Although membership is not required to participate in Council Committees, they are headed by members who in turn report to the Board. We are always looking for talented people of all backgrounds to assist us!
The Volunteer Committee
Who we are and what we do:
The Volunteer Committee, co-chaired by Weekend Naturalist James Frank and Judy Furlow, is the volunteer base that supports Marshy Point. We help to maintain trails and equipment, monitor plant and animal populations, and provide visitor support for special events such as the Spring Festival, Earth Day, the Fish Fry, and our Holiday Party. Check out our current opportunities here.
