14th Annual Fall Festival

September 24, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Annual fall festival at Marshy Point Nature Center on September 24, 2022 from 10am to 4pm. Free admission and parking.

Marshy Point Nature Center’s 14th Annual Fall Festival takes place on September 24th from 10am-4pm. This outdoor, seasonal celebration provides an opportunity to explore our park and nature center while enjoying fun, festival activities. When you first arrive, visit Marshy Point Nature Center Council‘s table for a festival brochure and map, and take a peek at the Council’s merchandise, mums, and raffles.

Stop by our apple cider pressing and apple butter stations for a taste of the season and learn the history behind these delicious treats. If you want to experience Dundee Creek on a beautiful fall day, then take a boat trip, kayaking tour, or canoeing tour with a naturalist. Take a walk down the orange trail and enjoy the metal sculpture display before your arrive at our hay ride and straw scramble station.

Say hello to our animal ambassadors near the owl habitats and learn all about bees from Red Dog Apiary at Marshy Point’s own apiary. In between these key features, you can enjoy a wide array of local vendors and exhibitors, including the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy, Greyhound Angels, Glenn L. Martin Aviation Museum, Chesapeake Search Dogs, Chesapeake Hunting Dogs, and Maryland Master Gardeners.

There are multiple food and drink options including concessions by Boy Scout Troop 433, wine provided by Dejon Vineyards, Kombucha from Wild Bay, shaved ice from Kona Ice, and a bake sale sponsored by MPNCC. After walking around, making crafts, playing games, and celebrating, sit back and relax on the front lawn with live music. Admission and parking are FREE; some activities have a small fee.
