As part of the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks, Marshy Point Nature Center and its staff provide public programs with the support of a non‐profit Nature Council of community volunteers.

Marshy Point is a great choice for school and community groups looking for nature‐oriented, hands‐on field trips and programs in the Greater Baltimore area. From Pre‐K to adult, we tailor each trip to suit your needs, providing diverse learning and outdoor opportunities for all ages, needs, and backgrounds. Program leaders include staff, naturalists, and trained volunteers.

Program Request Information

We take program/trip requests one season in advance (i.e. summer programs may be scheduled in spring). You may mail, drop-off, or email your form(s). We schedule program/trip requests Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm. Forms submitted at 4pm or later on Friday will be reviewed the next week day the Nature Center is open (taking into account County-observed holidays).

You are welcome to submit your forms on weekends, but keep in mind that weekend staff cannot schedule programs/trips; your form will be reviewed by weekday staff when they return to the office.

Available dates fill up quickly; please fill out and submit your form as soon as you know your preferred date(s). You may stop in or call ahead of time to see if your intended date is available, but this does NOT guarantee a program/trip reservation unless your form is submitted at that time. We do not take reservations without a completed program/trip request form; we make reservations based on the date/time forms are received.

Submitted program/trip dates are not guaranteed; scheduling is based on our staff availability and number of other previously scheduled programs. If your intended date is unavailable, we will work with you to find another suitable date, if possible.

**If you have questions or require special assistance filling out and submitting the form, please contact us at 410-887-2817 or stop by the Nature Center for further assistance**
