Park Use Policy: The natural and cultural resources of Marshy Point are protected by law. Enjoy our forests, wetlands, fields, and creeks but take only pictures and leave only footprints. Help keep the wildlife wild: Collecting of any kind, motorized vehicles on our trails, and fishing from the shoreline are not permitted at Marshy Point.
Facility Use Policy: Marshy Point Nature Center is a public educational and recreational facility. The Center offers nature birthday parties, but does not rent space for weddings and other private events. Educational and environmental groups and organizations may reserve a meeting room if the date does not conflict with scheduled programs.
Group Program Fee Policy: Group programs are offered free of charge to school, educational, and non profit organizations. A fee of $100 is charged to for-profit groups, with the proceeds going to the Marshy Point Nature Center Council to benefit exhibits, animal care, and other programs.
Security Policy Statement: The Marshy Point Nature Center Council is committed to ensuring that your payment and personal information is always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.
Inclement Weather Policy: All events are rain or shine unless a rain date is specified. In case of thunderstorms, programs will be delayed 30 minutes. Program leaders determine cancellations on the day of the program. Please call one hour before start time for status. In case of winter weather, please check the status of Baltimore County Government. When the County is closed, Marshy Point programs are cancelled and the Center is closed.
Refund Policy Statement: If we can fill the spot the participant has reserved we will refund. The event goes on as scheduled in relation to number of reserved spots.
