SPOUTWOOD FARM AND MARSHY POINT NATURE CENTER BRING PREMIER FAERIE FESTIVAL TO BALTIMORE

Summer Solstice Faerie Festival 2019 logoSummer Solstice Faerie Festival to Celebrate the Magic of Nature at New Location June 22 and 23

BALTIMORE, MD, April 9, 2019 — After 27 years of magic and wonder in Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, the beloved Faerie Festival has a new home. This year’s Summer Solstice Faerie Festival will be held rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, and Sunday, June 23, at Marshy Point Park in partnership with the festival’s founders, Spoutwood Farm Center.

Started in 1991 as a small faerie-themed party at Spoutwood Farm, the country’s first faerie festival has grown, changed, and spread its wings over the years to become the premier event of its kind. After celebrating the final, joyous 27th year at the Farm in 2018, the Faerie Festival is moving to its new home at Marshy Point this June.

Spoutwood Farm and Marshy Point jubilantly invite all friends and fae to come play in the marsh with the Greenman, Lady Lucy, Mossman, and the Marsh Man. The Summer Solstice Faerie Festival will feature a variety of live music, dancing, bubbles, magicians, fairies, goblins, renowned craft vendors, and winged things both common and uncommon. Activities for humans and fae of all ages include wildlife encounters, parades, drum circles, faerie and gnome villages, storytellers, and much more!

Connected by water, spirit, and mission, both Spoutwood Farm and Marshy Point exist to further an appreciation for the natural world and demonstrate our shared connection to the environment. The Summer Solstice Faerie Festival will allow both organizations to share the magic of nature, celebrate the wonder of the season, and continue offering educational programs aimed to make the world a friendlier, better, and more magical place.
